A candidate can attempt for unlimited times until the upper age limit of taking the exam.

2) Does Graduation marks matter in Wbcs?

Ans)

No, only graduation or equivalent degree is sufficient. There is no marks requirement for appearing in the WBCS exam. A graduate of any stream can appear for this examination.

3) What qualification is needed for the Wbcs exam?

A candidate must be a citizen of India.

The candidate should be a graduation degree-holder (10+2+3) Or equivalent.

4) What is the age limit for the Wbcs exam?

Minimum Age Limit :

For Group A, C, and D – 21 years.

For Group B – 20 years.

Maximum Age Limit :

For Group A, B, and C – 36 years. (As on January 1 of the year of examination).

For Group D – 39 years. (As on January 1 of the year of examination).

*Age, recorded on Madhyamik Or equivalent certificate will only be accepted.

Age relaxation for SC and ST is by 5 years and for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) is by 3 years.
